SAP applications such as Treasury and Risk Management, SAP ERP, SAP BW, and SAP HCM, are the very core of a company. For its SAP applications, ZEISS had opted for an on-premises setup—an outdated and less flexible solution that was difficult to operate and modernize. This led to lengthy and slow processes in IT, and the automation of recurring processes seemed virtually impossible.
